Q: Are the beaches within walking distance of The Kennebunk Inn?

A: The Kennebunk beaches are about a 10-minute drive from The Kennebunk Inn. There are three beaches - Mother's Beach, Middle Beach, and Gooch's Beach.

A: Beach passes are required all hours of the day for designated parking spaces from June 15th to September 15th.

Q: Can I purchase passes from The Kennebunk Inn?

A: The Kennebunk Inn has a limited number of beach passes available for rent each day. The cost is $15/day. They are available each morning on a first come, first serve basis.

Q: Are there other ways to purchase a beach pass?

A: Passes can be purchased from the Town of Kennebunk on the app PassPortParking or at kiosks along Beach Avenue. They are $30/day or $100/week when purchased from the town.

Q: How do I display my pass?

A: Beach passes must visible through the windshield on the passenger side. When purchased through the app, there will be nothing to display in the windshield.

Q: How much do beach passes cost?

A: Day passes are $30.00, and week-long passes are $100.00 when purchased from the town.

Dogs on the Beach

Q: When are dogs allowed on the beach?

A: From June 15th to September 15th, dogs are allowed on the beach before 8am and after 6pm.

Q: Can dogs be off-leash?

A: Yes, dogs can be off-leash if they are under voice control.

Amenities, Accessibility, & Safety

Q: Are there bathrooms at the beach?

A: Each of the main Kennebunk beaches (Mother's, Middle, and Gooch's Beach) has portable toilets during peak season which is mid-June through mid-September.

Q: Is there a boardwalk or restaurants at the beach?

A: There is not a boardwalk at the beach . There are no restaurants or snackbar within easy walking distance from the beach. Dock Sqaure in Kennebunkport, about a 5 minute drive from the beaches, is a great place to find restaurants and shopping. You can also order food directly to the beach using DoorDash.

Q: Is there a playground at the beach?

A: There is a playground at Mother's Beach.

Q: Are there lifeguards at the beach?

A: There are lifeguards on duty at Mother's Beach and Gooch's Beach from mid-June to early September.

Q: Is the beach accessible?

A: Mother's Beach is equipped with an ADA compliant Mobi-Mat. This durable, ADA compliant, woven polyester mat, allows for access from the parking area to the beach for individuals with mobility challenges. New menu, cozier space, and summer pop-ups

Over the last year, we've heard from many of you that we need to warm up the space a bit, and change up the menu, while keeping some of the classics the Tavern is known for. Since we are working on some renovations on the Inn, we thought now would be a good time to do both!

Luckily, you don't need to wait until we're done with the reno to spend some time at the Tavern!

Watch our socials and our blog posts about upcoming pop-ups to be held out on the Patio. We'll have the same crew on hand to greet and serve you. Full bar and a pub menu!

Curried Chicken

Entree: (Friday and Saturday only)

Grilled 9 oz. swordfish steak served with grilled pineapple-mago salsa. Comes with mashed potatoes and sauteed sugar snap peas.

Mushroom, onion, olive, tomato with marinara and topped with mozzarella
