Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens – Kitchen Garden Dinner Series – June 23rd

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens Kitchen Garden Dinner SeriesShanna & Brian O’Hea will host a dinner to benefit the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Maine on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Kitchen Garden Cafe at the Botanical Gardens.  Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens hosts more than one hundred thousand guests annually and is located on 270 acres of pristine Maine tidal shoreland with over a half mile of tidal frontage in Boothbay, Maine.

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens – Kitchen Dinner Series Tasting Menu

First Course –  Miniaturized Maine Lobster Pot Pie

A smaller version of the Lobster Pot Pie featured on the Food Network’s “Best Thing I Ever Ate”, The Travel Channel’s “Food Paradise” and Oprah Magazine, with poached lobster meat, potatoes, peas, corn  and Shanna’s hand rolled puff pastry

Second Course –  Chicken Roulade

Pork belly stuffed chicken with coconut bechamel, mango vinegar,  banana salsa, garnished with micro cilantro and bulls blood greens

Third Course  – Duo of Lamb

Roasted lamb chops, spring vegetable tart and rosemary feta foam. Braised lamb cassoulet with fava beans and finished with an olive, lemon, mint gremolata

Fourth Course –   East Coast Strawberry Shortcake

With warm buttermilk biscuit and fresh whip cream

About The Kennebunk Inn

The Chefs/Owners of The Kennebunk Inn and its restaurant, Academe Maine Brasserie & Tavern met when they were students at The Culinary Institute of America. They have appeared on "Best Thing I Ever Ate," "Chopped," "Rewrapped," and "Beat Bobby Flay" on the Food Network and on the Travel Channel's "Food Paradise." They have also appeared in Oprah Winfrey's "O" The Magazine. The O'Heas have been guest chefs at Walt Disney World's Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, Houston's "Sugar Land Food & Wine Affair, Boca Raton's "Boca Bacchanal" Food & Wine Festival, and on Holland America Cruise Line.
