The Kennebunk Inn Quarterly
Volume 1, No.3 Summer 2005
Today marks the official, first day of summer, the longest day
of the year, and the quickly emerging peak season of activity at
The Kennebunk Inn. This “peak season” really is shaping
up as something special for the “keepers” of The Kennebunk
Inn.
Summer Filling Fast In the last issue
of The Kennebunk Inn Quarterly we reported on The
Inn’s internet marketing activities that seemed to be building
much broader awareness of our “affordable excellence…culinary
passion executed to near perfection” position in
the hospitality market place. That reality is now very evident in
the room reservations for the summer season. By the end of May most
week-ends in July were already almost fully booked and a similar
trend for week days both in July and August was developing by mid-June.
As we did in the last issue of The Quarterly, we would
strongly recommend advance reservations for upcoming visits. You
can now email us for room reservations at info@thekennebunkinn.com,
and within a few weeks you will be able to book reservations online
on the Inn’s website.
Summer Menus Promise Something for Everyone
Chef~Owners, Brian and Shanna O’Hea, have designed some tantalizing
menus items for the summer season. Dining guests in the Tavern or
on the patio will notice the availability of all Academe
entrees and salads in those more casual settings, Wednesdays through
Saturdays.
Kennebunk Inn Softball Not content with
a spectator role only for athletic contests, The Kennebunk Inn has
recently organized a co-ed softball team. While it is not yet clear
that our softball skills match our culinary talents, the early going
has produced two losses (including one absolute drubbing), one narrow
victory and, most notably, no serious injuries. Sunday bartender,
Skip, was the winning pitcher in our lone victory: feel free to
ask Skip for details of his masterpiece.
