The Kennebunk Inn Quarterly
Volume 3, No.2 Spring 2007
While the summer and fall are the busiest seasons of the year at
The Kennebunk Inn, spring brings some of the year's most bright
and beautiful days – as well as some unexpectedly cold days honesty
compels us to admit. Whether warm or blustery, The Inn is prepared
to deploy our porches, patios and fireplaces to make your stay comfortable
and memorable.
May Rates Offer Excellent Spring Visit Value
This year we are extending our lowest off-season rates through most of May (i.e. until Memorial
Day week-end). As the weather warms up and before the summer crowds arrive, it is a great time to visit
southern Maine. Come stroll through town, the Port or on the beach, visit the galleries, the museums and
shops and welcome the blooming of spring. Stay at The Inn during the week for as little as $70 per night
(just $10 higher on the week-end).
May Day Ð A Kennebunk Tradition
A traditional, small-town parade down Main Street, guests and town
residents seated on the porch of The Kennebunk Inn to view the parade,
community events throughout Kennebunk – these are some of the moments
to be savored on the first Saturday of May in Kennebunk. Come and
enjoy special day with a week-end visit to The Kennebunk Inn.
Summer Street Stroll and Private Gardens of the Kennebunks
The Kennebunk Inn is pleased to be one of the selected sponsors of two upcoming charitable
events to benefit the Child Abuse Prevention Council of York County. On Saturday, June 16,
2007 from 6-8pm experience a tour of four historic mansions. A 5pm lecture at the Brick Store
Museum, just up the street from The Inn, Earle G. Shettleworth, Maine State Historian, will
give an orientation lecture. Wine and hors d'oeurves will be served at each home, and the
evening concludes at the last home with champagne and desserts by the pool. On Saturday,
July 14, 2007 a tour of the Private Gardens of the Kennebunks will take place.Contact The
Inn for details and times of the tour. The cost for each event is $50 per person.
Direct TV
Many of The Kennebunk Inn's charms are the features of the facility
that date back to The Inn's construction in 1799. But, guests' comfort
and enjoyment today are also enhanced by certain contemporary amenities
— one of which is TV in every room. We have recently contracted
with Direct TV to provide satellite television service to The Inn
and have purchased new TVs for several of our rooms as well. We
trust these 21'st century additions will add to the pleasure our
patrons' experience.
