The Kennebunk Inn Quarterly
Volume 1, No.2 Spring 2005

Spring has arrived in Kennebunk, or at least the calendar, if not the thermometer, asserts this to be the case. As winter winds down, we are looking forward to welcoming guests to our substantially renovated Inn, and it would appear that considerably more guests will be gracing us this year than last spring and summer.

World Wide Web Exposure

Late this winter The Kennebunk Inn affiliated with Expedia.com and Hotels.com in an effort to make more people aware of our hospitality services. By summer we expect to be connected through what is known as a Global Distribution System (GDS) to other web-based affiliates such as Tavelocity.com and Orbitz.com as well as an international network of travel agents. The early returns on this marketing investment are very promising, making reservations for rooms at The Inn a prudent choice as soon as you know your travel plans.

High Tech

Inn guests are making good use of our new (complementary to guests), wireless internet access. DSL connections, installed last summer, are still possible in several locations in The Inn, but wireless appears the wave of the future for many of our patrons.

Wedding Bells Ringing

Several couples have selected The Inn recently to host their wedding days. We offer a special room rate as part of wedding packages that can also include on-site or off-site catering. Diane Ryan, Director of Inn Operations, will be pleased to familiarize you with our special event facilities and menus for any upcoming occasions.

Red Sox and Yankees Resume Hostilities

As RedSox Nation prepares for another season following their historic triumph of 2004, the staff and guests of The Kennebunk Inn will once again find themselves viewing the TV in the Tavern on separate sides of the heated rivalry between the Sox and the Bronx Bombers. New York native and lifetime Yankee lover Chef~Owner, Brian O'Hea, has just completed several months of informal therapy (provided by the always supportive patrons of the Tavern) to adjust to the Red Sox domination of last year. Come join the fun and sample Bartender Tom's creative drink selections known to possess therapeutic powers as well.
