The Kennebunk Inn Quarterly
Volume 2, No.4 Fall 2006
The unusually warm temperatures of July and August are giving way
to the cooler and colorful days of fall on the coast of Maine. The
fall schedule of The Kennebunk Inn will feature some popular returning
events and some new opportunities as well.
Steele Wine Dinner On September 28 Academe
and The Kennebunk Inn will host Jed Steele, one of America’s
premier winemakers at a Wine Dinner featuring six Steele wines.
Chef ~ Owners, Brain and Shanna O’Hea, have designed a distinctive
fall menu for the occasion. The Dinner event begins at 6:00PM. Reservations
are required - $55.00 per person.
Halloween Party Promises Something Strange
The Kennebunk Inn’s annual Halloween Party will be on Saturday,
October 28, the Saturday before Halloween. Last year’s event
attracted some truly, creatively costumed patrons, and this year
promises more of the same. Enjoy great food and drinks and dance
to the wide-ranging music of our guest DJ.
Women Chefs and Restaurateurs Repeat Appearance
Chef ~ Owner, Shanna O’Hea was selected again (Shanna was
invited last year to the Seattle Conference) to prepare breakfast
for the National Conference of the Women Chefs and Restaurateurs
in Atlanta in early November. This annual, three-day gathering attracts
many of the leading women culinary professionals from around the
world.
Thanksgiving Take-Away The Inn’s
restaurant will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but families are
invited to pick up their entire dinner or selected items (turkey,
stuffing, gravy, vegetables, pies etc.) Thanksgiving morning at
The Inn. Advanced reservations are required. As in the past, The
Inn is open for overnight guests throughout the Thanksgiving week-end;
Academe will be open again for regular
hours starting on Friday after Thanksgiving.
