Academe at The Kennebunk Inn is celebrating Maine Restaurant Week 2014 with a three course, price fixed dinner menu for $35.00.
Maine Restaurant Week celebrates the ingenuity and innovation of your favorite independent, locally-owned restaurants. It gives Maine restaurant patrons a chance to try a new restaurant or visit an old favorite for a specially-designed, and specially-priced three course menu. Maine Restaurant Week gives Mainers an opportunity to support businesses in their local community and to help the local economy.

Miniaturized Lobster Pot Pie
Academe exclusive, featured on the Food Network show “Best Thing I Ever Ate”, with poached lobster including tail, knuckle and claw meat, peas, corn, potatoes and Shanna’s hand rolled puff pastry
Chicken, crab and Andouille sausage served with New Orleans flavor over basmati rice and sidecar of gravy
Rainbow of Beets
Roasted red, gold, pink and striped beets, sherry vinaigrette dressed greens, fried stuffed cheese Mediterranean olives and honey toasted walnuts

Slow braised ground lamb in tomato, lamb gravy over handmade rigatoni with quenelles of herbed ricotta cheese

Brian’s lobster, corn and cheese empanadas with tropical fruit salsa and Chipotle braised beef stew over smoked celeriac puree
Par-snip for the Course
A tribute to one of our favorite root vegetables - roasted parsnip and truffle tortelloni, vanilla parsnip bisque and fried parsnips with micro-green and herb salad
Harrissa Roasted Monkfish
Charred red peppers and lentils, served with grilled house made pita chips, date and eggplant puree, hummus, and cucumber raita

To enhance your dinner enjoyment, we have carefully selected three wines to accompany your meal. We gave these wines special reduced pricing with a very reasonable price by the glass. We offer you a white, a red, and a rosé.
White: Grüner Veltliner, Huber, Austria$8.00 glass
A crisp refreshing white wine with apple, spice and white peach notes
Red: Petite Sirah, HandCraft, California$8.00 glass
Full bodied with dark blackberry and plum flavors. A dash of Zinfandel is added in the blending process adding black pepper spice and jammy dark fruit notes.
Rosé: Solar De Randez, Tempranillo, Rioja$8.00 glass
Off-dry rose with light and clean notes. Intense flavor coming from the maturity of vineyard and vines, limited production – try it while you can.
