American College of Greece - A Taste of Excellence

Chefs/Owners of The Kennebunk Inn & Academe restaurant will bring a taste of Maine to Europe when they prepare their famous Maine Lobster Pot Pie and Lobster Lo’ Maine at the American College of Greece’s “A Taste of Excellence – Perfect Bites & Sips” food and wine event in Athens.

The “Taste of Excellence” reception will follow the American College of Greece’s annual Alumni Achievement Awards on Friday, September 12, 2014. The event will be held in the ACG Irene Bailey Theater Plaze, American College of Greece, Athens. The food & wine event will feature chefs from around the world, and Greek wineries Boutari, Gentilini, Katogi & Strofilia, Domaine Porto Carras, Oinampelos, and the Athenian Brewery.

While the O’Heas are in Greece to attend the event, the Kennebunk Inn’s restaurant, Academe will operate on a modified schedule. The restaurant will be closed Tuesday & Wednesday, September 9th & 10th. We will be offering a limited menu from Thursday September 11th through Wednesday September 17th. Normal Service will resume on Thursday, September 18th.

The Chefs/Owners of The Kennebunk Inn and its restaurant, Academe Maine Brasserie & Tavern met when they were students at The Culinary Institute of America. They have appeared on "Best Thing I Ever Ate," "Chopped," "Rewrapped," and "Beat Bobby Flay" on the Food Network and on the Travel Channel's "Food Paradise." They have also appeared in Oprah Winfrey's "O" The Magazine. The O'Heas have been guest chefs at Walt Disney World's Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, Houston's "Sugar Land Food & Wine Affair, Boca Raton's "Boca Bacchanal" Food & Wine Festival, and on Holland America Cruise Line.
