Cake for a Cause – Help out the Maine Good Shepherd Food Bank and Get a Sample of Shanna’s Winning Cake from “Rewrapped”

Chef Shanna O'Hea's winning Chef Boyardee Ravioli Spice Cake

Get a sample of Shanna O’Hea’s winning dessert from the Food Network’s “Rewrapped” with a donation to the Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine

Ever since Chef Shanna O’Hea won on the Food Network’s “Rewrapped,” we’ve had quite a few requests for a taste of her Chef Boyardee Beef Ravioli Spice Cake from the show’s Innovate Round. If you’ve ever wondered what a dessert made from canned pasta tastes like – and let’s face it, who hasn’t? – You can find out on Friday, October 17th, Saturday, October 18th, or Tuesday, October 21st, 2014.

Any guest who brings in a can of food, or who makes a cash donation to Maine’s Good Shepherd Food Bank will receive a sample of Shanna’s winning Spice Cake with Cashew Ginger Crumble and Raspberry Tomato Meat Sauce Coulis topped with Rum Cream.  This is a wonderful chance to help a great local cause and to taste a dessert that – and we’re going out on a limb here – is unlike anything you’ve ever had.

After posing for the photo, the delicious canned ravioli was packaged for donation to the Good Shepherd Food Bank, serving Maine families in need. (The Champagne was not part of the prize package, but it makes for a nice photo, and a refreshing beverage.)

Thank you to everyone who helped us support the Good Shepherd Food Bank!

We’d like to give a special shout out of thanks to our neighbors at Plixer, Inc. who came through with a very generous donation to the Good Shepherd Food Bank.
